Thinking of giving your space a new look without the hassle, commitment, or mess? Removable wall murals from Lumaprints might be exactly what you need. Printed on premium self-adhesive woven fabric, custom wall murals make it easy to bring artwork, photography, or a favorite design onto your walls without taking on a major decorating project.
They’re also worth considering if you’re looking for renter friendly wall decor or simply want the freedom to change your space later. Read on for five reasons removable murals can be a smart choice for your next project.
1. No-Mess Installation and Easy for Beginners!
Lumaprints’ peel-and-stick murals are printed on self-adhesive woven fabric, so you don’t need glue, special tools, or a ton of DIY experience to install them. Simply clean your wall, peel off the backing, and smooth the mural into place from top to bottom.
It’s an easy way to refresh a space without the inconvenience and added work of traditional wallpaper.
Before starting, make sure the wall is clean and dry. Adhesives may not bond properly if there is dust, loose paint, or moisture. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency also suggests controlling excess moisture and keeping indoor surfaces dry.
2. Removable & Adjustable! Perfect for Renters or Frequent Movers
Because these murals use adhesive fabric and are designed to be removable, you have more freedom to change the look of your walls later. That makes them especially useful for apartments, dorm rooms, temporary spaces, or anyone who moves fairly often.
If you’ve been looking at removable wallpaper for renters, peel-and-stick murals give you another option without the same level of commitment as traditional wallpaper. You can make a rental feel more personal while still keeping future changes in mind.
It’s always a good idea to check your lease and the condition of the painted wall before installation, especially if the paint is old or already peeling.
3. From Small Accents to Statement Walls
Lumaprints has murals and wall decals in a variety of sizes, whether you want to add a little personality to one part of the room or totally change an empty wall.
A smaller mural can work nicely behind a desk, above a bed, or in an entryway. If you want something bolder, a large design can become the main feature of the room.
Custom dimensions also give you more freedom when the wall or artwork doesn’t fit a standard size. That makes removable wall murals useful for both small decorating ideas and larger statement walls.
4. High-Quality Materials & Long-Lasting Results
The murals are printed on high quality woven fabric with color calibrated printing to help keep the colors bright and the details sharp.
The woven material also gives the finished mural a little more texture than a basic wall sticker. This works well for photography, illustrations, patterns, and artwork where you want the design to feel like part of the room rather than something simply placed on the wall.
Good materials also help the mural keep its shape and appearance while it’s being displayed.
5. A Simple Alternative to Traditional Wallpaper
Traditional wallpaper can look beautiful, but installation often requires paste, extra preparation, and more commitment once it’s on the wall.
Peel-and-stick murals make things easier. You still get the impact of a large wall design, but without having to deal with traditional wallpaper glue or a permanent installation.
This can be particularly useful if you enjoy changing your decor every so often. A nursery may need a different look as a child grows, or a home office may eventually become another type of room. In situations like these, renter friendly decor gives you more flexibility.
Who Should Consider Peel-and-Stick Murals?
Removable wall murals are ideal for:

- Anyone who enjoys updating their décor seasonally
- Students, young professionals, and first-time homeowners
- Those looking for a quick and affordable way to refresh a room
- Anyone decorating bedrooms, home offices, dorm rooms, studios, or other spaces that benefit from hassle-free décor

Hi,
I’m an artist. Wondering if I sent a jpeg of an artwork to you, could you make one of these fabril-printed wall murals of it?
Hi Kathy,
If you want to do a full wall mural of your design, you will have to pre-design your files based on the panel size(s) you would like. Essentially, you’ll have to split your image into panel(s) that fit within our max available size (49×150″). Also, we recommend adding an overlap of at least 0.25 inches on each panel to account for the cutting allowance. This will help you align your panels well and provide a seamless look of your design on the wall!
