Also known as Aluminum prints, metal prints are made from sleek aluminum sheets where the image is transferred through dye sublimation. This involves printing the image onto transfer paper before heating or baking it together with polymer-coated metal. As a result, the metal prints finish is basically the ink that merges with the medium, making the output sturdy and incredibly vibrant. Various sizes available up to 40×60″.

Surface Options

Glossy White

The glossy surface is the popular option as it brings out the vibrancy of the print. The white base allows for accurate color. The whites of the image appear white, and the colors appear natural as you expect them to be. It offers a vibrant look with rich color and high contrast, making it an excellent choice for metal prints wall art.

Glossy Silver

The glossy surface provides a vibrant, modern display. The silver base allows the aluminum to show through. Since the white point is the metal itself, the image will look darker, and overall color accuracy will be reduced. It's highly recommended for high-contrast black and white images, creating striking metallic art prints.

INSTALLATION OPTIONS

Metal Easel

Can be used to either stand your metal prints on a surface or to mount them on a wall. It is available for the following sizes: 8×10, 8×12, 11×14, 11×17, 12×12, 12×16 (max for vertical orientation), 16×24 (max for horizontal orientation).

Inset Frame

Adds dimension to your print, positioning it a dramatic 3/4 inch from the wall. It is available for all sizes with the hanging wire as an add-on. (Note: Inset frame with hanging wire also available)

Stainless Steel Mounting Posts

Come in two different sizes: Large Standout Posts (1″ diameter) and Small Standout Posts (3/4″ diameter). They are available for all sizes. To ensure stability, the metal print will naturally have punch holes where the mounting posts are securely fastened through.

  • For a deep clean, you can apply  warm water or a mild cleanser.
  • Do not display in area with direct sunlight to keep the print from fading over time.

Lumaprints offers several installation options, including a Metal Easel for tabletop display or wall mounting of smaller prints. You may also choose an Inset Frame (with or without wire) that creates a floating effect approximately 3/4 inch from the wall. Another option is our Stainless Steel Mounting Posts for a contemporary gallery-style presentation.

Metal prints are created using a dye-sublimation process that transfers your image onto a polymer-coated aluminum sheet. During heating, the dyes become part of the coating itself, resulting in vibrant colors, sharp detail, and a durable finish.
