For this webinar, we’re taking you behind the scenes of our experience at Las Vegas Market. It was a chance for the Lumaprints team to step away from the usual online setting and meet people from the furniture, art, and home decor industries face to face. We also had the opportunity to show how our canvas prints and other wall art products look and feel in person.

For anyone who attends home decor trade shows, exhibits at them, or is simply curious about what happens on the show floor, this look back at the Las Vegas Summer Market offers a closer view of our booth, the people we met, and some of the ideas we brought home with us.

The Vegas Summer Market Experience

Las Vegas Market brings together professionals from the furniture, gift, design, and home decor industries. The official event website describes it as a wholesale destination where brands, retailers, buyers, and interior designers come together to source products and build industry connections.

For Lumaprints, the event was an opportunity to introduce our work to a broader trade audience and see how people responded to our products in person. Unlike browsing a website, a home decor trade show gives visitors the chance to look closely at materials, colors, frames, and print finishes while talking directly with the people behind the products.

Featuring the Artist Aja Trier

One of the highlights of our Las Vegas Market experience was having artist Aja Trier with us. Aja had already been working with Lumaprints, and her colorful, whimsical artwork gave visitors something memorable to experience at the booth.

During the event, she painted live and spent time signing artwork and speaking with attendees. Seeing an artist actually working beside the finished prints added another layer to the booth. People could connect the original creative process with the printed pieces being displayed nearby.

Our Booth: A Showcase of Creativity

Our booth covered around 400 square feet, giving us room to show a range of artwork across different products. Setting everything up took plenty of work, but it also gave us the chance to think about how wall art looks when several materials, sizes, and frames are displayed together.

We featured canvas prints and fine art paper, with a large part of the booth dedicated to Aja Trier’s work. Her bright colors and detailed designs were useful for showing visitors how different artwork translates to print.

We also displayed different frame options so visitors could compare them side by side. Frame selection can change the overall presentation of a piece, and seeing the choices in person made those differences much easier to understand. We also showed examples of framed fine art prints for visitors interested in a more finished presentation.

Getting Up Close and Personal

The booth was not only about putting products on display. It gave us a place to actually talk with interior designers, retailers, and other people working in the trade.

Visitors asked questions about printing, artwork, framing, and possible partnerships. Those conversations are one of the reasons events like this are valuable. At a wall art trade show or broader home decor event, you quickly hear what people notice first, what they want to know, and what matters to them when choosing products for their businesses.

Aja Trier’s Live Painting

Aja Trier’s live painting became one of the most memorable parts of the booth. She created a piece featuring a puppy and kitten together while attendees watched the work develop.

We also displayed one of Aja’s original pieces beside our printed reproduction. This gave visitors a direct way to compare the original artwork with the finished print instead of relying only on photographs or descriptions. For artists in particular, being able to look closely at color, detail, and overall presentation can make that comparison much more useful.

Promo Bags: A Vegas Market Hit

We created promotional bags featuring four different designs for the event, and they quickly became a popular part of the booth. People picked them up as they walked through the market, and the designs often gave them a reason to stop and take a closer look at what we were showing.

They were simple promotional pieces, but they also reminded us that at busy home decor trade shows, something visually interesting can help start a conversation before someone even reaches the main display.

Introducing Lumagallerie

Lumagallerie, our sister site, was also part of our presentation at the Las Vegas Summer Market. The platform was created with trade professionals in mind and features work from different artists and publishers.

Interior designers, decorators, gift shop owners, and furniture retailers can browse artwork for use on canvas and framed fine art prints. Bringing Lumagallerie to the market allowed us to speak directly with the kinds of professionals the platform was designed to serve and hear their questions firsthand.
